Watching the Falls

10 Oct

Another one of my few paintings.  This piece is partly from imagination (specifically the Native American perched at the top of the falls), and partly from a reference photo of Gooseberry Falls that my parents took when on their honeymoon in the ’80s.  Gooseberry Falls is a place I’ve visited myself a few times, and it’s quite pretty.  Anyway, here is my painting…

“Watching the Falls”

Oil paint on stretched canvas.  It is 12 x 24 inches in size.

The frame was a great thrift sale find (though this is a very poor photo of it).  It is heavy oak…it just needed a coat of paint and it was good to go. 🙂

Thank you for looking. 🙂
