Boxer II

01 Nov

Slowly, this doggie is coming along.  The smooth planes on the face are slow to fill in, but it’s getting some shape.

Since the above photo is a bit blurred up close, I’ll post a couple of detail shots, too.

There’s not much else to say about it at the moment…  Basically, there are more dots, and that’s about it. 😉

Thanks for looking!

Ooh, he’s coming along! Who’s this dog? 🙂 I chuckled, as I see you’re giving him a mole, which is just so normal for a Boxer. 🙂 And you’ve got the turn up of nose going, which is great and the wrinkles and flews (those side cheek things. 🙂 ). And those ears that so often don’t lay down well. 🙂 He’s going to be a fawn dog, right? He’s really coming along nicely, Jenna! I can’t wait to see the next installment. 🙂

Yes, he is, Katie…little by little. Unfortunately, I don’t know this dog in person, but found the reference image at a site called WetCanvas (a fantastic art website that also has a big reference image library full of photos for free use). It was too special to turn down, as I just fell in love with this dog, especially with those wild ears. I’m glad the mole is appropriate. 🙂 I once drew a bullmastiff that had moles, too. So great to have this feedback from someone who’s so familiar with the breed. Thank you! 🙂 He most certainly is a fawn color with the black mask and ears. I worked on him for some time today, so I may have an update posted soon. Thanks again! It means a lot.
