Some Pig

03 May

This is the first time I’ve sculpted a pig, and I was happy to do it.  It was something different, and interesting for a change.  I got my inspiration from some leaf pendants I bought some time ago.  I came across them a few days ago and immediately thought they looked like pig ears.  The rest of the sculpture came together from there.

Some Pig

– Sculpture measures approximately 7 inches long by 2 inches wide by 3 and 1/2 inches tall.

– Made mostly with 17 gauge fencing wire, as well as finer wire to connect the found items.  The ears are leaf-shaped pendants I purchased some time ago, and the pink snout is a little button I got from a friend.  The tail is made of a finer (22 or 24 gauge I think) wire, which I twisted and attached to the pig, and then I added very fine wire to bulk up the tail and to make it more sturdy.

I hope you like my little pig.  Thanks for looking!
